Ultimate Co-Ed Spa Escapes for Couples

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Dove Mountain, Arizona

As avid travelers and destination wedding enthusiasts, we've had the privilege of experiencing some of the most beautiful places in the world. But amidst the hustle and bustle of weddings and wanderlust, we always try to make time for a little self-indulgence, in the form of a spa day. There's nothing quite like unwinding, getting pampered, and reconnecting with your partner in a tranquil, spa setting. However, it's not always easy to find spas that cater to couples, with inviting co-ed spaces where you can enjoy the journey together. That's why we've put together a list of our favorite day spas, scattered across the country, that have the perfect ingredients for a romantic and relaxing escape.

Cedar Creek Spa at Big Cedar Lodge, Ridgedale, Missouri

Website: Cedar Creek Spa

Cedar Creek Spa at Big Cedar Lodge holds a special place in our hearts since it was where we spent our honeymoon. Over the years, the spa has evolved into a luxurious haven with tranquil treatment rooms, each boasting its own fireplace. The co-ed grotto pool is a highlight, offering a heated pool surrounded by comfy loungers and even an invigorating ice room for a little cold therapy. Don't miss the indoor and open-air showers to rinse off in style.

The Cove at Shore Lodge, McCall, Idaho

Website: The Cove

We discovered this winter wonderland escape while filming a wedding in McCall. The Cove offers a cozy and inviting atmosphere with a steam room and an indoor-outdoor pool. However, the real gem is the heated saltwater immersion pools, even in the snowy Idaho winter, creating a magical experience.

Glade Spring Spa at Suncadia Resort, Cle Elum, Washington

Website: Glade Spring Spa

First, let me say that it's often hard to compare the actual treatments between excellent spas, as they all have high standards. But to this day, this is still the best massage I (Sarah) have ever had. A winter paradise, and the massages here are top-notch. The outdoor relaxation spaces are simply enchanting, with warm pools and flowing creeks nestled among evergreens.

Loma De Vida Spa at La Cantera Resort, San Antonio

Website: Loma De Vida Spa

Perched atop one of the highest points in San Antonio, this spa offers breathtaking views of the Texas sky. The large infinity pool is perfect for gazing at the horizon. We were particularly enamored with the Himalayan Salt Wall Sauna and beautiful outdoor relaxation spaces. A co-ed whirlpool and several custom couple packages make it an ideal romantic destination.

The Ritz-Carlton Spa, Dove Mountain, Arizona

Website: The Ritz-Carlton Spa

Sarah's confession: I visited this spa solo but can’t wait to bring Rick back. The spa's open-air walkway leading to treatment rooms creates a serene atmosphere. Separate his & her saunas, whirlpools, and steam rooms add to the relaxation. The large pool and co-ed whirlpool beneath the Arizona desert's majestic boulders make it perfect for couples. Enjoy drinks and food poolside under a cabana or umbrella, with Ritz-Carlton's impeccable service.

The Lodge at Woodloch, The Poconos

Website: The Lodge at Woodloch - Day Spa

Discovered while hosting one of our first Wedding Film Retreats, The Lodge at Woodloch offers separate eucalyptus steam rooms and dry saunas for a serene start to your spa experience. Co-ed spaces feature Hydromassage WaterWalls, indoor and outdoor whirlpools, and an indoor pool. The Renewal Retreat includes a Snow Room and Co-ed Himalayan Salt Sauna for something new. Note that the amenities here can only be used an hour before and after your scheduled treatment.

If you're fortunate enough to be near any of these fabulous locations, we wholeheartedly recommend indulging in a day of relaxation with your significant other. These spas aren't just about massages and facials; they're about rekindling the romance, unwinding, and creating unforgettable memories.
